As summer winds down and the excitement of a new school year begins, we are thrilled to share the final results of our 2025 Backpack Program:
251 backpacks filled with school supplies have been distributed to children in our community, all thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our donors, the tireless efforts of our volunteers, and the dedicated commitment of our staff.
Each backpack represents more than just pencils, notebooks, and markers. It represents opportunity, confidence, and a fresh start for a child walking into school feeling prepared and supported.
This year’s program was a beautiful reminder of what happens when a community comes together. Whether you donated supplies, gave financially, volunteered your time, helped organize, or simply shared our campaign, you played a part in this success, and we cannot thank you enough.
Why It Matters
We know that back-to-school season can be a stressful time for many families. The cost of supplies adds up quickly, and for some, it’s a burden that makes the start of the school year feel more daunting than exciting.
Through this program, 251 children are heading into their classrooms with the tools they need and the confidence that their community cares about them.

What Is the Backpack Program?
Our Backpack Program provides FREE backpacks filled with essential school supplies to Halton Hills students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. With your support, we help ease the burden on local families and give students the tools they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, last year we supported over 180 students, and this year, the need is just as great.
