We are beyond excited to share the final results from this year’s Holiday Giving Program and they are truly incredible!
Thanks to the generosity and compassion of our community, 482 people received gifts this holiday season, including 421 children and 61 singles and seniors. Each gift represented more than just a present, it was a reminder that our community cares deeply and comes together when it matters most.
This impact would not have been possible without the overwhelming support of 129 businesses, churches, schools, and individuals who donated gifts, contributed financially, knitted items, and shared countless other thoughtful donations. Your generosity helped create joyful moments and lasting memories for so many families.
We are also incredibly grateful to Georgetown Christian Fellowship Church for generously opening their doors and providing the space needed to make this program run smoothly. Your support played a vital role in bringing everything together.

Holiday Giving 2025: Light Up a Family’s Season in Halton Hills
As winter approaches and the holiday season draws near, the warmth we share as a community can feel more important than ever. For some families and seniors in Halton Hills, it’s a time of worry: how to make ends meet while still creating holiday joy. That’s where Holiday Giving 2025 comes in and here’s how you can help make it brighter.
Why 2025 Matters
2025 brings its own challenges. Rising costs, inflation, and new tariffs have stretched household budgets thinner than in years past. It’s a harder time for many and yet, hope still grows where people care.
This year, our goal is to reach more people than ever before. We’re expanding outreach, increasing partnerships, and hoping to raise our program’s capacity. Whether you’ve sponsored before, donated, or volunteered, you’re part of making this possible again.
What’s New This Year
- Earlier Launch & Extended Application Window
We’ve opened applications earlier (now through November 30, 2025) so families have more time to apply and plan.
- Stronger Community Partnerships
We’re collaborating with local businesses, schools, faith groups, and community hubs to extend our reach and sponsor more households.
- More Flexibility for Sponsors
If you adopt a family, you’ll have more leeway with drop-off times and suggested gift items, we want to make it easier for you to give.
- Aiming Higher
Last year, we supported over 400 families and vulnerable adults. This year, with your help, we hope to set a new record.
How It Works
- Families apply– via an online form or in person at our Acton or Georgetown offices. Proof of income is required.
- Sponsors adopt families — you receive a wish list of new items (pajamas, toiletries, etc.) and deliver unwrapped gifts for distribution.
- Distribute & Share the joy — recipients are notified mid‑December with pick‑up details.
- Donate if you can’t sponsor — financial gifts help cover essentials or gift cards for families in need in Halton Hills.
