The goal of our Meals on Wheels services is to enable seniors and adults with a disability to have access to affordable meals in their home. Meals include hot meals (Meals on Wheels); frozen meals (Meals on Ice), volunteers taking people to a local restaurant (Wheels to Meals), and Congregate Dining. All options offer a variety of meals to seniors and adults with disabilities that are a delicious, convenient, affordable alternative to food preparation. Meal service options are available in Georgetown and Acton. The impact of these services provides options for people to have nutritious prepared meals to support well-being.
Our Congregate Dining program provides a variety of tasty meals and an opportunity to make new friends in designated seniors apartment buildings in Georgetown and Acton. Meal dates and sign-up sheets are posted for residents in each building.
Wheels to Meals
Our Wheels to Meals luncheons are held twice a month at a local restaurant, church or community hall providing a great opportunity to get out and socialize with friends. The cost varies according to location. Transportation is provided by volunteers for a minimal fee.
