Position Overview
The program assistant volunteer will assist staff in supporting the EarlyON program, participants and
families. As a volunteer of Links2Care, the volunteer will actively demonstrate Links2Care values and will promote and support the mission and vision of the agency.
Duties/Activities/Responsibilities:
- Interacts professionally in accordance with Links2Care Code of Conduct and Human Rights Act.
- Maintains complete confidentiality of client information in accordance with Links2Care confidentiality/privacy policy.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment.
- Provide childcare and/or support registered programs by completing other tasks as required. Other tasks may include helping with the preparation of craft projects, washing dishes and toys.
- Interact and engage with children and adults.
- Participates in annual volunteer survey.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with young children would be an asset.
- Completion of a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check prior to start date and throughout volunteer duration as required by Links2Care (if over the age of 18).
- All volunteers are required to provide proof of Immunizations and a medical assessment from your family doctor.
Boundaries and Limitations:
- No changing of diapers.
- No carrying of any child.
- Not allowed to be left alone with any child. The supervisor must be present.
- Meals/snacks not to be provided or given to children by volunteer.
Working Conditions:
- Works in a childcare environment either in a classroom type setting or outside.
- Stands for extended periods of time
